Church Community

St Saviour’s is an Anglican Church in a parish situated in South West London in Raynes Park. The church is situated on a main commuter bus route, very close to city trains at Raynes Park and Wimbledon, and tram links from Wimbledon to the South East.
The population of the parish in 2011 was 9000, with a high proportion of Roman Catholics because of an increase in Eastern Europeans to the area latterly and close proximity of Catholic Schools around Wimbledon.
The electoral roll was 68 in 2016 and is now 50 in 2018. The fall in numbers is due to congregation deaths, movement of families and more accurate attention to recording.
Our Priest-in-Charge was licensed in March 2017. The main Sunday Service is 9.30am Parish Eucharist with Sunday School, and the first Sunday in each month is Family Communion for everyone. Baptisms are by appointment on the third Sunday, immediately following the main service. We do not have weekly services as our priest is part-time.
The congregation averages 30-35 adults with 5-7 children, and is half 65+, quarter 40+ and quarter young families.
Parish Office is open three times a week when the church is open.
The church has become a focal point for community activities, the halls being used for:
