Mission Action Statement
We hope and pray that St Saviour’s Church will be a flourishing and inclusive church that offers a variety of services and support for all ages, particularly to encourage younger families.
We aim to play a pro-active role in our parish and local area, providing ministry, support to local parishioners, and a wide selection of social activities to improve and develop the welfare of the local community.
We aim to develop strong links with other churches and local agencies such as libraries, Community Police, and Residents’ Associations.
Our vision is that St Saviour’s Church will be a place where all are welcome and lives are enriched. We wish St Saviour's Church to be:
- A spiritual church where we can develop and nurture our faith in the scriptures and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ;
- A
growing
church where we can attract younger families and people of all ages and nationalilies;
- A
committed
church which understands and serves our local community, working with others to care, reflect and celebrate;
- A
generous
church, so that we can increase our finances to achieve an income that can then fund new initiatives for the Church and the community;
- A
welcoming church where all who attend feel that they are part of the Church Family who will be supported and supportive at times when this is needed;
- A confident church, maintaining and developing our present structure of traditional worship, but also
- A flexible church where we can introduce new styles, hymns and new expressions for all age family worship.
